R-Towing Oy has undergone a strategically significant ownership change that strengthens the company’s position in the evolving maritime markets. The former minority shareholder, Megas Oy – a Finnish family-owned private equity investor and business developer – has acquired full ownership of R-Towing Oy. This transaction enables the company to leverage Megas Oy’s extensive expertise in
business development and solidify its long-term growth strategy.

In conjunction with the ownership transition, the company’s leadership is also undergoing a change. Effective January 1, 2025, Lassi Rantapelkonen has been appointed as the new CEO of R-Towing Oy. Since 2024, Rantapelkonen has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, bringing to his new role extensive operational expertise, strategic vision, and an in-depth understanding of the maritime sector.
